Set-up Process

Identify the users in your firm who need to access MoneyGuide via CircleBlack

The MoneyGuide Admin User needs to provide the CircleBlack Customer Success team (help@circleblack.com) your Company Name and Institution ID

Company Name: Login to MG → Main Menu → User Options → User Profile: Company Name

Institution ID: Login to MG → Main Menu → Admin box → User Options → Partner Options → locate the Institution ID on the Partner Options page

The CircleBlack Customer Success Team will confirm when your MoneyGuide instance is configured for your firm in CircleBlack
New and Existing MoneyGuide Users
As an existing MoneyGuide user, CircleBlack allows you to link clients already set up in MoneyGuide to the respective household in CircleBlack. If you’re new to MoneyGuide, CircleBlack will push the key household, client, and account data into MoneyGuide so you can link a client to CircleBlack and build a financial plan.
When a client link is established you can:

View the client’s Probability of Success number at the Household dashboard in CircleBlack

Import the client’s Financial Plan from MoneyGuide into CircleBlack
In addition, if a client is not already in MoneyGuide, you can use the household, client, and account information in CircleBlack to create the client in MoneyGuide.
How To: Access MoneyGuide from CircleBlack
There are several places you can access the MoneyGuide integration from CircleBlack:

Analyze tab → Financial Planning → select the Household you wish to access and/or link

Analyze tab → My Portfolio button (if you’re a firm manage user, select “Firm View” then press the “My Portfolio” button) → expand the Households tile → view and click the “Probability of Success” meter icon for the Household you wish to access and/or link

Analyze tab → expand the Households tile → search for and click on a Household → view the Household dashboard and locate the Probability of Success tile → click the “Probability of Success” meter

Settings Gear icon → select Integrations → click the MoneyGuide logo
How To: Link a CircleBlack Household to a Client that already exists in MoneyGuide

Use any of the above three navigation steps to select the Household in CircleBlack and single sign-on into MoneyGuide.

On the “Link to Client in MoneyGuidePro” page, you can search for the client by either entering their last name or pressing the “Search” button to see all the clients in MoneyGuide.

Then, follow the steps in MoneyGuide to complete the linkage

Once the MoneyGuide client is linked to the CircleBlack household, MoneyGuide will be able to:

send the Recommended Scenario Probability of Success meter number and, if one has been created
-
send the saved Financial Plan’s PDF Report back into CircleBlack.

How To: View the Probability of Success number in CircleBlack Advisor
For any linked Client in MoneyGuide, MoneyGuide will send the Financial Plan’s Recommended Scenario Probability of Success number back into CircleBlack.
In order for the “POS” number to display in CircleBlack, you must navigate to the Household’s Dashboard – this will trigger MoneyGuide to update and send the POS number into CircleBlack.
If any changes are ever made to the financial plan and the Recommended Scenario for a particular household, you will need navigate back to the Household Dashboard to pull in the updated POS number.
POS numbers are also available at the Household Tile and List page at only My Portfolio (Advisor) level:
How To: Import a MoneyGuide Financial Plan to the CircleBlack Advisor Document Vault

Within your MoneyGuide platform, search for the Client for whom you’d like to import the financial plan.

From the client’s “My Plans” page, click on the Financial Goal Plan you’d like to import. Some clients may have multiple plans so pick the plan you wish to import.

Within the client profile, click on Finish in the top navigation bar and then select Report from the dropdown menu.

On the Create Reports page, go through the Report Template and Report Options workflow to customize your report’s presentation. In the Report Printing section, input the “Report Name” and press the Create & Save to History button.

MoneyGuide will take a few moments to generate the report, which will open as a PDF report within MoneyGuide.

Once the report is generated, you can switch back to your CircleBlack instance. Select Engage, then Document Vault and you will see the Financial Plan posted. You can then share the plan with the Household as long as they are activated for the CircleBlack Investor portal.
